When Omu Ijebu Hosted Lagos Socialite, Olarotimi Paseda

Olarotimi PasedaPenultimate weekend, the ancient city of Omu Ijebu in Ogun State literally rose and tumbled, when Prince Olarotimi Olatunde Paseda and his beautiful wife, Princess Oritsejemine, were honoured with the traditional chieftaincy titles of Otunba Adeneye and Yeye Otunba Adeneye of Ijebu Omu by the royal father of the town, Olomu of Omu, HRM Oba Mobolaji Oludaisi Monsuro.

We learnt that Prince Paseda, a Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN), Ogun State governorship candidate, has contributed immensely to the development of the ancient town.

During the colourful event witnessed by dignitaries from across the country, Oba Monsuro described Paseda as a loving person and an uncommon philanthropist, who has contributed to the development of Omu and its environs.

An elated Otunba Paseda thanked the Oba and the entire people of Omu, in and out of Nigeria, adding that he accepted the title because it is a family title and a call to serve. “It will motivate me more to assist the people and the community at large,” he added.

The ceremony was attended by over seven traditional rulers from Ijebu areas in Ogun State, friends, members of the UPN, the party’s new chairman, Prof. Bankole Okuwa, Dr. Olatunji Olateju, Rotimi George Taylor, Prof. Folasade, Kunle Solana, Eddy Ademosu, Tunde Thani and Bukola Ogundimu, among others.
