VeryDarkMan Opens Up On Arrest

Popular social media critic, VeryDarkMan (Martins Otse) has finally broken his silence on his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

VeryDarkMan following his release on Wednesday evening said:

“They think I am into money laundering, how would they put money laundering for person wey no get money? I have done so many charities, and them they wonder how. They don’t know that I use debt for charity. Anyway, we are outside, with my lawyer, of course.”

For those who don’t know, VeryDarkMan was arrested on Friday, May 2nd, 2025 after visiting a branch of GTBank in Abuja.

His sudden detention sparked outrage across social media, prompting widespread protests from fans, supporters, and several Nigerian celebrities demanding his release.

After spending five days in EFCC custody, VeryDarkMan was released on Wednesday evening.
