Uche Francis Offor is a study in hard work and honesty. Like a phoenix, he rose from zero to hero to become one of the very successful businessmen in Umuopia, Akokwa and Imo state in general.
Uche’s rise to success began many years ago when he went under the business tutelage of his Uncle, shortly after his early education in Aba, Abia state.
Of, course, his uncle, Chief Israel Elechukwu Orjiekwe took notice of the diligence and enterprise in the young lad and resolved to mould Uche into a shrewd businessman and industrialist he is today.
Having acquired the basic rudiments, Uche relocated to Nigerias commercial hub, Lagos, and delved into the world of business, armed only with honesty, diligence, hard work and abiding faith in God. The elegant result was the birthing of Ufrank Investment and Pelican International Limited few years later atop of which he sits today as Chairman/Chief Executive Officer.
Uche’s success story and philanthropic gestures make him stands tall among his people in Umuopia, peers, friends and well-wishers. The love and appreciation shown to him by individuals and groups whose lives he has touched in different ways can be gleaned from the plethora of awards and recognitions he has been given in recent time.
Essentially, like ants are attracted to sugar, Uches selfless contributions to the upliftment of humanity have immensely attracted him: An Award of Excellence bestowed on him by the Umuopia Autonomous community (Womens wing).
Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Amuwo Odofin, Appreciation Award in recognition of his selfless sacrifice and dedication towards the continuing development of the youths in the parish, a recipient of Lagos at 50 Award bestowed on him by the Igbo community in Lagos in recognition of his contributions to the state and Igbo nation, and Meritorious Award as Prime Mover by Umuopia Autonomous community, Akokwa womens wing, Lagos.
The icing on the cake is the conferment on him, of the chieftaincy title of Ugochimereze of Umuopia by His Royal Highness, Eze Don Opurozor (Opia of Umuopia).
A big player in the industrial Chemical sub sector of the economy, Uche is married with children. He is devoted Christian of the Catholic faith and an avid sports lover, mainly football and table tennis.
