Leading pan-African financial institution, United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc. has warned those spreading fake news about the bank.

This is a reaction to the message that went viral recently which says:

“If you are using UBA Bank please do not use ATM to withdraw from POS machine. There is general problem right now, 90% of the people are complaining that their account are being debit to 0.”

However, UBA, in a terse statement via its social media channel said:

“This message is FALSE. Our debit cards are working across all ATM and POS machines and customers are NOT being erroneously debited.”

“Break the cycle do not share Fake News.”
