Chief Government Ekpemupolo a.k.a Tompolo is now swimming in a sea of crises.
The ex-militant turned businessman’s problems with the Federal Government of Nigeria seem to be multiplying everyday.
His landed property, Mieka Dive Institute which he sold to NIMASA for N11 billion where Nigerian Maritime University was set up is now the bone of contention. Those in the know revealed that Tompolo allegedly used a false Certificate of Customary Right of Occupancy of the property to collect N11 billion from NIMASA.
They disclosed that the same property ownership is being claimed by Omadino Community demanding payment for the landed property from NIMASA.
We gathered that all efforts by the EFCC to get Tompolo to come and answer questions about the deal peacefully have been abortive. Justice Ibrahim Buba of a Federal High Court in Lagos has given an order for the arrest of Tompolo over the issue.
