Tinubu, Atiku In Cold War

The All Progressives Congress (APC) top-shots, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar are now in cold war.

Insiders squealed to us that Atiku has relied on Tinubu to help him achieve his life ambition of becoming the president of Nigeria in 2019. However, with the sterling performance of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as the acting president whenever President Muhammadu Buhari is on medical vacation is now giving Atiku sleepless nights.

Those close to him disclosed that should President Buhari decline to contest for second term due to health condition, Atiku is feeling strongly that he may not get the support of Tinubu if Osinbajo comes into the race.

Sources close to Atiku added that he did not take Osinbajo’s angle into reckoning when he started crisscrossing the country in preparation for 2019 presidential election.  We gathered that Atiku is now very suspicious of Bola Tinubu/Osinbajo political strategy.

For those who don’t know, Atiku contested the APC presidential primaries in 2015 and could not secure the support of Tinubu. Instead, Tinubu pulled his weight behind Gen. Buhari.
