Sunday Oliseh Fights Club

Former Nigeria Super Eagles player and manager, Sunday Ogochukwu Oliseh has fired back at the Dutch Eerste Divisie side, Fortuna Sittard over the controversies surrounding his sack as the club manager.

The former Ajax and Juventus footballer took the Dutch second division club to the cleaners via his twitter account @SundayOOliseh…“I confirm: due to my refusal to participate in illegal activities at Fortuna Sittard and violate the law, I have been suspended from my duties as coach by the foreign owners of Fortuna.”

“Unfortunate for the lovely fans, my players and our hard-fought phenomenal positioning for promotion.”

Recall that Oliseh was sacked on Wednesday February 14th, 2018 by the football club over “unacceptable actions” and the club had disclosed that the decision to sack Oliseh was unavoidable following his repeated blameworthy attitude which saw him fallout with players and officials of the club.

“The club management makes this decision as a result of the repeatedly culpable actions for a longer period by the trainer towards several persons in the organization.”

“Several attempts by the club to move the trainer to other behavior were unfortunately without result, resulting in an unworkable situation.”

“The board of Fortuna Sittard emphasizes that the decision to disband Sunday Oliseh is not motivated by the current sporting performance.”

“Because of his inadmissible actions, the coach has made the cooperation with many people within the organization impossible.”

“From players to employees. Fortuna Sittard regrets the decision, but states that the club interest goes above all else.”

For those who don’t know, Oliseh, was appointed manager of Fortuna Sittard, December 27, 2016 and had helped the club to escape relegation last season.
