The Akarigbo of Remo Land, Oba Michael Adeniyi Sonariwo was last week appointed as the chairman, Ogun State Obas Council by Governor Ibikunle Amosun amid glitz and glamour.

The event which was held at Oba’s complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta witnessed a large turn-out of royal fathers across the state.

The Awujale of Ijebu Land who vacated the position after his one year tenure expressed appreciation to Governor Amosun for improving the lives of the monarchs.

In his own acceptance speech, Oba Sonariwo who pledged to raise the bar from where his predecessor left also solicited for unwavering support of government for the institution of obaship in the state.
