Afrobeat star, Seun Kuti has opened up on his release from police detention.

He took to his Instagram page and wrote;

“I want to say a profound thanks to everyone who showed me all this love. All my friends that showed up! Thanks most especially to my beautiful wife @chefyeidekuti”.

“Last but not the least, the legal team, Uncle Femi Falana (SAN), Uncle Olumide Fisika (SAN), Uncle Kayode Adegoke (SAN), Barrister Ogunlana, Ade Ademiluyi, @mantis_afrikaanus. And everyone on the team, I owe you my freedom and my sanity. Let’s go!!”

The musician was released on Tuesday, May 23rd, 2023 after he was granted bail by Yaba Chief Magistrate Court.

For those who don’t know, the singer was detained at the State Criminal, Investigations and Intelligence Department, SCIID, Yaba, Lagos for slapping a police officer.
