Senator Binta Masi Garba disclosed some shocking secrets of her life recently. The only female senator from the 19 northern states of Nigeria revealed recently that she is the daughter of driver.

That’s not all, she added that she used to go to school on empty stomach without any food except water. She revealed that there was a day she was going to school barefooted without even bathroom slippers when her school mate and the father rode a motorcycle passed her, splashing mud water on her school uniform. But she confessed that incident made her resolve to get educated and saved her parents from poverty as she doesn’t want her children to go to school without food and barefooted.

It’s interesting to know that she made history as a woman by defeating a sitting governor of Adamawa, Bala James Ngilari in the 2015 senatorial election in Adamawa State.
