Selection of Cabinet is for Actualisation of Industralization Blueprint – Gov. Emmanuel

Udom-EmmanuelAkwa Ibom State Governor Mr Udom Emmanuel has said that he was painstaking in his choice of cabinet members as well as those appointed into the technical Committees to enable him achieve the vision of industrialization and wealth creation.

The Governor stated this when he attended the sixth Anniversary Convention of the Word of Faith Covenant Assembly, Uyo.

He said his team which comprises of men of proven integrity with requisite skills and international connections were carefully selected to bring their wealth of experience to bear and attract investors to the State.

Governor Emmanuel however condemned the spate of unsubstantiated criticism and blackmail put up by uninformed members of the public whose stock in trade is the pull down syndrome and advised them to refrain from such act and show respect to the constituted authority as ordained by God.

While congratulating the General Overseer of the Church, Pastor John Linus for the sixth Anniversary Celebration, Governor Emmanuel expressed appreciation for his ability to nurture the Church from cradle to its sixth year of existence and attributed the feat to God’s benevolence and spiritual guidance.

In his testimony, the General Overseer of the Word of Faith Covenant Assembly, Pastor John Linus, said the Church which was established on the 15th November 2009, has witnessed tremendous growth.

He added that the anniversary service concludes the week long convention where God manifested through financial breakthroughs and divine healing.

Pastor Linus thanked the Governor for leading his Cabinet members to celebrate with them and prayed for God’s blessings upon him and his government.

Preaching on the theme; “Overflow”, the Guest preacher Apostle Gabriel Nkanang, urged Christians to guard their calling jealously. He took his text from Psalm 23 verses 1 through 6, and explained the rationale behind children being born with their fist closed pointing out that every child is born with a mission and the fist is freed when there is a manifestation of the mission.

The man of God said when Heaven chooses to bless a man, his family background or profession is of no significance and that where there is a cup, there is always an overflow to the admiration of well wishers or chagrin of enemies. He urged all to identify their calling early enough to suit divine purpose for rapid progress

The service which also featured prayers and song renditions, climaxed with the cutting of the sixth Anniversary cake.
