Search And Groom Partners Lagos State FA On Coerver Coaching

To challenge the norms in Nigeria football circle and offer modern basic training the trainers’ techniques, Search and Groom, a non-governmental organization that specializes in youth development has secured the franchise to bring “COERVER® COACHING BASIC TRAINING FOR TRAINERS” to Nigeria. The project which is supported by Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) will hold in Lagos in May 9 – 11.

Speaking on the project, Executive Director, Search and Groom, Mr Yomi Kuku disclosed that, the COERVER® COACHING BASIC TRAINING FOR TRAINERS is specifically created to incorporate coaches in clubs, communities and schools into a coaching development programme, for the purpose of developing football players within professional, semi – professional, grassroots clubs, communities and schools system.

This new system is further proposed to boost strategic and mutually beneficial partnership with the participants to create extra gains in the monitoring and evaluation process, beyond the training.

Kuku further added that, the programme is specifically proposed to support and share globally acknowledged technical ideas with coaches in Nigeria, to enhance coaching expertise and development in Nigeria. This will be of immense contribution to player development at the youth level, community clubs elite and development of players within the same club system.
The Chairman Lagos State Football Association, Seyi Akinwunmi who attended the COERVER® COACHING course a few years ago in the UK said, “I can confirm the efficacy of the COERVER® COACHING, if our young footballers can imbibe the result of practice under that system then we will in the long run have players with better technique playing for our national teams”.
