Sanwo-Olu Leads South-West Governors To Ibadan For Forum Meeting

Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State on Monday for the South-West Governors Forum meeting.

Governor Sanwo-Olu arrived at 12:50pm. He was received by the Oyo State Deputy Governor, Bayo Lawal.

Chaired by Governor Sanwo-Olu, the meeting is hosted by Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, in his Office, at Agodi, Ibadan.

The meeting, convened by the South West Governors’ Forum was to tackle pressing issues affecting the region, including agriculture, regional cooperation and integration, food security, economic growth, and security of lives and property.

The meeting will focus on strengthening security measures to protect lives and property in the South West, as well as exploring opportunities for collaboration and investment to drive economic growth and development in the region.

The meeting, which started at 2:15pm is attended by Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun) and Ademola Adeleke (Osun), who was represented by his deputy, Kola Adewusi.

The South-West Governors Forum meeting is a follow-up to a similar gathering held in Lagos on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
