Ex-Emir of Kano and former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has made a shocking revelation.

He said; “Not many people know that between June 1995 and June 1996, I was in Sokoto prison as a threat to national security under General Abacha. Many of the articles in my book started after that experiment.”

“I led the first demonstration in my life at the age of 8 at St Anne’s school, Kaduna.”

“I have a much stronger network of support in Lagos that was why when I was deposed as Emir and when I was removed as CBN governor, I chose to go to Lagos.”

“My friends end up with High Blood Pressure and sleeplessness because they fear for what will happen to me.”

“Of all the things I am grateful for is my friends are the topmost, they came through for me every time I got into trouble.”

“A friend has made his private jet available for all my movements making people believe that I owns the jet. I have four wives and 13 children and grandchildren.”

“I am starting a Ph.D. in London at 60 years of age before the end of the year to prove to my kids that they need to aspire to greater height and to contribute to public discuss as a stateman.”

“I like my wives because they say very good things about me in public even though I know I am not so nice. I will be studying alongside 6 of my children who will be pursuing first and second degrees respectively.”

“I am passionate about women and girls, for 50 years the CBN appoint only 4 women as directors but I appointed 8 women as directors the same day to change the narrative.”

“I do not support the break up of Nigeria because I benefitted greatly from the country. I would have contended with life if all I ever attained was the Chief Risk Officer of First Bank.”
