Ever since System Specs Ltd. REMITA got paid about N25 billion from the federal government new treasury single account policy, some people have gone to town spreading stories about the powerful Nigerians behind the e-payment company, REMITA and of those mentioned is the Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.

Our investigation revealed that the deal with REMITA was signed in 2012 when the Emir was the CBN governor. But the company belongs to Mr. John Tanimola Obaro and Dr. Christopher Kolade was the chairman of the company. We gathered that the Emir of Kano has nothing to do with the company.
