Sacked DSS Boss, Lawal Daura Arrested

Sacked Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Lawal Daura has been arrested.

Sources said he was arrested by a combined team of the Police and the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) shortly after he was sacked by the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo for “breaching national security.”

For those who don’t know, Acting President Yemi Osinbajo sacked the Director-General of the Department of State Service (DSS), Lawal Daura on Tuesday August 7th, 2018 for sending his men to invade the National Assembly Complex, Abuja.

The DSS and the Police had locked down the National Assembly on Tuesday, even as the Senate leadership had scheduled a meeting to hold in the chambers in the afternoon.

Lawmakers who came with the hope of attending the meeting were denied entry into the Assembly by the security operatives.

Laolu Akande, Osinbajo’s spokesman disclosed Daura’s sacking on his Twitter handle… “AgP Yemi Osinbajo has directed the termination of the appointment of the DG of the DSS, Mr. Lawal Musa Daura.”
