The name Chief Razaq Akanni Okoya means various things to different people. He enjoys the reputation of being one of the old monies in the Nigeria business and social circuit. While some other point at his exploits in the business world which has brought him fortunes and placed him among the richest industrialist today, others simply talk of his social status which many follow religiously.

Based on his status and reasons best known to the money bag, he’s been able to establish that he’s not a man who does his things in little measure and celebration of any kind for him is not excluded. It is still very fresh in the mind of many how much fund Okoya has expended on previous celebration that such event could not but radiate anything short of glamour and opulence. In this vain, many had expected the money bag to roll out drums for all and sundry to come and rejoice with him when he recently clocked 75 but the influential man decided to change style as he opted for a low key celebration which had only close associates and family members at the prayer session that was held at his expansive Lagos home, Lekki. The high society which perhaps had anticipated what the birthday was going to look like was not totally shut out after all an avenue was created by Centre for Values in Leadership for the high and mighty to felicitate and share in the joy of the day with the birthday boy. With a long list of successful men in attendance as well as women of substance and standard in attendance, Chief Okoya was recognized at the 20^th Centre for Values in Leadership lecture which was held on Lagos Island.
