The sleepy town of Oguta in Imo State witnessed what it has not seen in a long time as late Justice Chukwudifu Oputa was laid to rest in a week-long carnival like funeral that was attended by who’s who from all walks of life.

The activities that started in Abuja on Sunday 22 June came to its peak on Friday 27 June when the highly referred justice was laid to rest in his residence in Oguta with top government officials, businessmen, captain of industries as well as entertainers.

Some notable people at the event include Secretary To The Government, Pius Ayim Pius who represented President Goodluck Jonathan, Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha, Senator Ken Nnamani, Senator Chukwumerije, Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha, Chris Ngige, Abia State governor, Theodore Orji, Ebonyi State governor; Anambra State governor, Wilie Obaino, Former governor of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim, Daddy Showkey, Dr. Alban, Segun Arinze, Grace Amah, and many others.
