Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi is in hot soup.
A former Chairman of Labour Party in Anambra State, Jude Ezenwafor has been declared winner of the presidential primary organised by a faction of the party.
Ezenwafor was affirmed in Abuja on Wednesday, June 8th, 2022.
Ezenwafor said: “I am on a rescue mission to free Nigeria from social, economic and political crises currently bedeviling it.”
“Labour Party will win the general election. Our party is going to take over Nigeria and bring back the glory Nigeria needs.”
“I have been in the corridors of government for the past 20 years. We are here on a rescue mission.”
Peter Obi was elected as the party’s presidential candidate at a primary election organised by the party on May 30th, 2022 in Asaba, Delta State.
Besides, Chairman of another faction of the party, Calistus Okafor had challenged the legality of the Barr. Julius Abure-led faction before an Abuja Federal High Court.

The matter was adjourned till June 30 for further mention.
Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has given all the political parties until June 9 to conclude their primaries.
