The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, has reportedly been attacked in Benue State.

His media aide, Esther Umoh disclosed this on Tuesday, sharing a video of the incident on her X handle.

The video showed a group of armed youths chasing after Obi’s entourage, while another video showed the route allegedly blocked by the youths.

According to Umoh, the incident occurred shortly after Obi and his entourage arrived in Benue State.

She wrote: “We have just arrived in Benue State, where alleged sponsored thugs have blocked Boko Road by the Air Force Base, attempting to prevent Peter Obi from gaining access into the state.”
