Ex-chairman of PDP, Dr. Haliru Bello son’s wife, Maryam Sanda has been arrested by the police for allegedly stabbing her husband, Bilyamin Muhammed Bello to death.

However, the police has assured that Maryam would be charged to court after investigations have been done. Reiterating that investigation is being handled by its homicide department and that investigation would be concluded soon.

Maryam Sanda, who we learnt is the daughter of former Aso Savings Bank boss, Hajia Maimuna Aliyu allegedly killed her husband by stabbing him several times in the neck and chest on the account of infidelity following a text message on his husband’s phone.

Knowledgeable sources had squealed that: “Maryam stabbed her husband in the neck and chest while he slept in the bedroom at their home in Maitama, Abuja. After stabbing him, she took him to a hospital where he gave up the ghost.”

“Before the tragedy, Maryam had bit off part of Bilyamin’s ear, he was treated at a hospital and later returned home. He was advised to leave the house for some time, but he refused.”

“Maryam had attacked Bilyamin before the latest incident, which unfortunately led to his death. The two got married about two years ago when the former PDP chairman persuaded his son to marry Maryam. Everyone was shocked by Bilyamin’s death; it was sudden, unexpected and tragic.  Bilyamin was about divorcing her before his sudden death.”
