Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor Blasts Tinubu

Former President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, has criticized President Bola Tinubu’s bid for a second term in office.

Speaking during a recent interview, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor said:

“The government has not provided the leadership needed to address the nation’s problems and should instead allow more capable individuals to take over.”

“Nigeria appears to be moving backward rather than forward, with citizens facing increasing hardship and little hope for improvement. President Tinubu’s administration has done more damage than good and should not be given another opportunity to continue on the same path.”

“The president should honestly assess his performance and refrain from seeking another term if he cannot deliver meaningful change.”

“The recent electoral victories recorded by the APC and the credibility of elections in Nigeria is questionable, many of them are predetermined outcomes rather than genuine democratic contests. The country’s electoral system does not adequately reflect the will of the people, many voters believe their votes no longer count.”

“If have the opportunity to meet President Tinubu personally, I will tell him that his administration has not performed satisfactorily and should either step aside, avoid seeking re-election, or identify individuals capable of transforming the country.”

“The church will continue to speak out on national issues and hold leaders accountable in the interest of the Nigerian people.”
