The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has issued a strong warning to security chiefs over the rising cases of kidnapping and terrorist attacks across the country.

The respected cleric urged the Federal Government to give security chiefs a 90-day ultimatum to tackle terrorism effectively, saying they should resign if they fail to deliver results within that period.

Pastor Adeboye made the statement in a video shared on his X (formerly Twitter) page on Tuesday.

He said: “If I were asked to make suggestions, I would say quietly to our government, ‘Move fast and tell our security chiefs, get rid of these terrorists within 90 days or resign.’”

“Government should intensify efforts against individuals and groups providing financial and logistical support to terrorist organisations.”

“Security operations should not only target armed terrorists but also those sponsoring and facilitating their activities, regardless of their status or influence.”

“When giving orders to the service chiefs this time around, we should make it clear to them that they are not only to eliminate the terrorists; they should eliminate their sponsors, no matter how influential they may be.”
