Over 1000 students in Agege area of Lagos State has expressed happiness over the recent gesture made to them by Honourable Olugbenga Ogunniyi a.k.a Senior Boyz by paying for their GCE forms and free tutorials that lasted for two months before they took the examination recently.
Speaking at the rounding off event, Ogunniyi who is a contender to the Agege Local Government Chairman under the All Progressive Congress, APC, lamented that a major hindrance to youths’ fulfilling their dreams was due to their inability to meet up with the financial demands of their potentials.
Ogunniyi commended the coordinators of the programme who he said, went through a painstaking process before picking the beneficiaries of the project.
According to Ogunniyi, “Apart from buying and giving them these forms, we organised free coaching for them not only to prepare them properly for the examination but also to ensure that they excel in the examination.”
He appealed to them to see the gesture as a golden opportunity to pursue their life time dream. He also implored students in general to take their academics very serious so that they can use it as a tool to free themselves from the shackles of poverty, ignorance, diseases and all sorts of vicious vices.
The students read a letter of commendation to Ogunniyi, assuring him that they will excel and become better Agege citizens.
Hon Olugbenga Ogunniyi is also very passionate about rendering community service when the need arises. He has support for the National Association of Tradesmen and Artisan during their annual party; donation of souvenirs and bottle water to the APC during campaigns including video coverage, printing of posters.
