Osaro Onaiwu Lambasts Oshiomhole

Founding Director-General of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum, Earl Osaro Onaiwu has asked Nigerians and Edo people in particular to hold Comrade Adams Oshiomhole responsible if violence breaks out in the September 19 governorship election.

Onaiwu who was also a gubernatorial candidate in the 2016 Edo elections alleged that Oshiomhole and a controversial businessman are hellbent on causing havoc across the state in order to achieve their selfish ends.

He stated that intelligence reports have repeatedly indicted the duo since the run-up to the forthcoming elections, wondering why people can be so desperate for power that they are amassing “lions and tigers” to kill and maim Edo people.

Onaiwu urged security agencies to focus their searchlights towards the direction of APC candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

Ize-Iyamu has been seen in a video openly fraternizing with political thugs while there are also concerns that the controversial businessman’s abode has become a sort of “mecca” for men of the underworld who are apparently being recruited and mobilized as mercenaries for the September 19 election.

He also urged President Buhari not to pay attention to the ousted National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole.

Oshiomhole sneaked into Aso Rock Presidential Villa Monday afternoon to seek an audience with President Buhari.

However, Onaiwu implored Buhari not to listen to Oshiomhole’s pleas concerning the Edo election. He said contrary to President Buhari’s instruction, Oshiomhole and Ize-Iyamu have been the agent provocateur, instigating violence across Edo State in a move that potentially aggravates the security tension ravaging the country.
