As we know, Primate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church is a major voice in almost every sector in the country, most especially politics.

This has led many to call him a political prophet; a name he doesn’t shy away from because, according to him, every true prophet is political even from the days of the prophets of old.

His prophecies surrounding politics have always gathered controversy as those who feel they are not favoured by them tackle him, while those who are favoured praise him. Meanwhile, these prophecies are not to support or be against anyone; it’s simply God’s word, and whatever anyone interprets it as doesn’t have anything to do with the prophet.

It would be recalled that in 2022 while the presidential election was still in its preparatory stage, Primate Ayodele spoke strongly about another APC tenure, warning that if Tinubu becomes president, Nigerians will face a prolonged hardship. The opposition celebrated this prophecy; some made it their campaign material, while the APC went all out against the prophet.

Just recently, Primate Ayodele prayed for the president, and the opposition is already saying the prophet has been paid, failing to see prophecy as a non-political material but God’s word.

As we gear up for another presidential election in 2027, Primate Ayodele has given words of prophecy for both the ruling party and the opposition parties. He had warned President Tinubu not to replace Shettima as his running mate and said there are only three people who can defeat him in the election. For the opposition, he had maintained that there is no opposition candidate that can win the election by themselves without a strong coalition.

Speaking further on coalition, Primate Ayodele in a statement yesterday warned that the All Democratic Alliance (ADA), which is being proposed by opposition parties as a platform for a coalition, would not fly. He advised the coalition participants to adopt ADC instead if they want to make any impact at all.

These were his words:

“ADA Party will not give you anything, ADC is better for a coalition front than ADA. Even SDP cannot make any tangible movement, let them use ADC so they won’t build on an infertile ground.”

In line with these instructions, in the late hours of the night, confirmed news reports have it that the national coalition body has adopted ADC as its platform, naming interim officials, including Rauf Aregbesola as secretary and Senator David Mark as chairman. An event is set to be held today to officially unveil the party and its officials.
