Director of Corporate Communications & CSR, Airtel Nigeria, Mr. Emeka Oparah, has been named as one of the lead speakers in a Customer Experience forum organized by the Customer Service Practitioners Association of Nigeria (CUSPA).
According to organizers of the event, Oparah, public intellectual and accomplished essayist, is scheduled to speak on the theme, “Which Function in an Organisation Is Responsible for Customer’s Experience.”
The forum, which will attract several delegates drawn from across different professional fields as well as the public sector, will hold at the Elion House, Ikoyi, Lagos, tomorrow, Thursday, June 26th, 2014.
Speaking on the event, the President, CUSPA, Uloma Umeano, said the forum is designed to offer a platform to brainstorm on key issues around the service industry in Nigeria, with the ultimate objective of promoting the service culture and transforming the service industry in the country.
On the choice of the lead speakers, Umeano explained that with his many years of rich experience in the communications field and in a well-structured corporate environment, Oparah is in the best position to share ideas, insight and intelligence in Customer Experience processes in the service industry.
She also revealed that the Airtel Executive will be joined in the discourse by other professionals in the communications and customer service delivery fields, adding that the CUSPA forum is designed to provide a platform for organizations, customers and customer service professionals to proffer probable solutions on specific issues that bothers on the quality of service delivery, thereby creating a better understanding of the discipline of customer experience.
Oparah has over 23 years cognate experience in various communications roles, which range through journalism, advertising, events, sponsorships, Corporate Social Responsibly, Customer Communication and public relations including Financial PR, Sports PR, Entertainment PR, Brand PR and Consumer Affairs.
A Mass Communications graduate of University of Nigeria, Nsukka and a holder of an Advanced Diploma in International Public Relations Management from The Management School, London, Oparah pioneered and established the corporate communications function in Airtel Nigeria (formerly Econet Nigeria).
