These are not the best of times for Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Adetunji as gun men stormed his palace and opened fire during installation of Mogajis and Baales on Monday 25th September, 2017.
Insiders told us that while the ceremony was going on, four gunmen in a black Toyota Sienna opened fire around 11:45am, shattering cars windscreens parked in front of the palace. The gunmen were shooting and daring people inside the palace to come out and confront them. They were shooting for about 10minutes before they sped off towards Molete end of Popoyemoja.

Sources told us that Sharafadeen Alli, former Secretary to the Oyo State Government was among the people who escaped death while the shooting lasted. He was inside the car when bullets hit his car.
