Olu Agunloye To Succeed Mimiko

Akoko born, Dr. Olu Agunloye, belongs to the league of influential and crowd pulling politicians in the Sunshine State, Ondo. His influence could be said to have worked for him when he was made a federal minister ahead of several interested and eligible politicians in the state at the time he was made one. Agunloye has moved from one party to the other in the last few years.

Based on interest, Agunloye dumped PDP for Labour Party a few years back to actualize his dream of going to the upper chamber of the National Assembly but he could not achieve his desire, as his targeted ticket was conceded to Senator Ajayi Borrofice. Because of this, he cross carpeted to APC, where he had earnestly started to prepare ground for his gubernatorial ambition which was also thwarted as Barrister Akeredolu was favored with the gubernatorial ticket by the party leaders. At this point, Agunloye moved his structure back to Labour Party to join forces with Governor Mimiko, who was seeking a second term against the myths of Tinubu led APC that was bent on taking over the state. The result of the election is what has made Mimiko retain his office and Agunloye in the boat of the winning team.

Going by all that had happened and sacrifice made by Agunloye, speculation has started making the round that Agunloye might be the likely successor of Mimiko, but the calculation we learnt is far from that as Agunloye is said to have signified his interest to run for the senate which he could not achieve on the same party a few years ago. What we cannot tell is if the party has agreed to compensate him with it.
