Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has finally opened up on why he was conspicuously absent at the thanksgiving service of Ex-Governor James Ibori recently.
The governor speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Charles Aniagwu explained that he’s not quarreling with his former boss whom he served as a commissioner for 8years. He added that he went to Abuja on Sunday, 12th February, 2017 for a very important state matter.
The governor confessed that the former governor remains the undisputed political godfather in Delta State and also added that those wishing for a cold war between him and Ibori would be disappointed, saying the relationship between the two of them is solid and would remain so.
It is interesting to know that the ex-governor practically made Okowa governor of the state as he was said to have ordered delegates on phone from London to vote for Okowa in the last PDP governorship primary at the Steven Keshi Stadium, Asaba, Delta State.
