The Ogwofia-Owa Support Group, OOSG, a prominent PDP support group made up of stakeholders from Ogwofia-Owa, Imezi-Owa , in Ezeagu LGA of Enugu State, has commended the Imezi-Owa General Assembly, IOGA for short, under the leadership of Hon. Matthew Ngwu, such stakeholders as Dr. Ojemba Ozobu, and all IOGA members, for their resolute, unflinching, and equitable support towards ensuring that the next Executive Chairman of Ezeagu LGA comes from Imezi-Owa Ward 11.

The Secretary of the OOSG, Ogbueshu Callistus Amalu, made this statement on Saturday, July 20th, 2024, at the PDP Ward 11 Secretariat, Eke-Alim, Imezi-Owa, during the formal declaration of interest by the OOSG Co-ordinator, Lawrence Chukwuweike Okafor, the first son of late Prof. Richard Chijioke Okafor and Dr. Mrs. Cecilia Unoma Okafor, nee Amalu, for the position of Executive Chairman, Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State, come the next LG Elections slated for October, this year.

At the well-attended declaration event, several PDP stakeholders, including Hon.Callistus Ibe, of Imezi -Owa Ward 11; Hon.Okey Eke, of Enugu South Ward IV, and Ejiofor Okonkwo of the OOSG Imezi-Owa Ward 11, spoke glowingly of Lawrence Okafor, an ESUT- trained electrical and electronic engineer by profession, who is the Concessionaire, Ngwo Park, Uwani, Enugu, and who has transformed the large recreational area from a refuse dump to its present enviable ambience.

Lawrence Okafor, while addressing the gathered crowd of stakeholders, pledged that, if elected, his administration would focus its activities, in synergy with Governor Peter Mbah’s Tomorrow Is Here mantra, on upgrading and improving the areas. of (a) Children, Youth, Education, ICT, Sports, (b) Healthcare Delivery, (c) Agriculture,(d)Water Supply, Works, and Infrastructure, (e) Power and Energy, (f) Women and Senior Citizens, and (g) Security, among others.

While concluding, Ogbueshu Callistus Amalu urged all Ezeagu indigenes to support this progressive cause and ensure that the next Chairman comes from Imezi-Owa ward 11, whose turn it is to produce the next holder of the office, so as to enshrine equity and fair play, and to make Ezeagu great again.
