The Executive Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission, Hon. Onoriode Oborevwori, on Saturday joined family members, friends and well-wishers to celebrate High Chief (Dr.) Emonena Victor Wayles Egukawhore, JP (FCILG), Chairman of De Wayles Group of Companies and Okpolo of Enhwe Kingdom, as he marked his 60th birthday in grand style.

The colourful ceremony, held on January 10, 2026, in Enhwe, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, drew dignitaries from across the state and beyond.
The gathering was a fitting tribute to a man widely admired for his outstanding business acumen, philanthropic gestures and unwavering commitment to community development.
A major highlight of the celebration was a novelty football match staged at the Okpolo Primary School Field, Enhwe Town, between Patani United Football Club and YAH Football Club of Enhwe.
The encounter thrilled spectators and added a vibrant sporting dimension to the festivities.
At the end of the match, Patani United FC emerged winners, taking home the trophy and a cash prize of ₦4.5 million, while YAH FC received a consolation prize of ₦3.5 million.
The generous rewards underscored High Chief Wayles’ passion for youth empowerment and sports development.
Hon. Oborevwori, who served as Guest of Honour, was accompanied by top government officials, including Mr. Sylvester Oniemo Ovbije, Commissioner representing Ughelli Federal Constituency at DESOPADEC; Mr. Festus Ohwojero, former Director-General of the Delta State Sports Commission and now Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sports; Mr. Emma Agi, Executive Assistant to the Governor on Security Matters; as well as Mr. Esosa Igbinoba and Mr. Joe Eyimofe, Special Assistants to the Executive Chairman.
The event, which seamlessly blended culture, sports and celebration, highlighted High Chief Wayles’ enduring influence and the deep respect he commands within Enhwe Kingdom and across Delta State.
