Ex-President Muhammadu Buhari’s former Special Adviser on Prosecution, Okoi Obono-Obla has issued a strong warning to Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State.
Obono-Obla said: “Governor Bassey Otu should not allow party chieftains influence the appointment of nitwits, mediocre, plain opportunists, lackeys, stooges, and proteges of unprincipled party apparatchiks, and members of every government in the party.”
“Also, those who have previously served in the previous government should not be appointed under any guise.”
“We need competent, industrious, visionary, passionate, professional, and patriotic people to help the state governor drive his vision.”
“Cross River State must be resuscitated to take its rightful place in the comity of States of Nigeria, being one of the oldest States.”
“The state’s public service is tottering on the brink and is almost broken and needs to be restored.”
