Chief Nyesom Wike, Minister of State for Education has opened up on the allegation levelled against him by his former boss and friend, Governor Rotimi Amaechi that he embezzled N2billion given to him to build 14-model schools in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The Honourable Minister lamented that the governor must have mistaken him for his wife and concubines that he usually gives contracts to. He added that he is not the Commissioner for Education in Rivers State to oversee education ministry.
Also, the hardworking and brilliant minister asked the governor to account for the N7.5billion for construction of 1000-bed Adolphus Karibi Whyte Specialist Hospital expected to be built at Greater Port Harcourt City.
He equally asked the governor to explain the N3billion landscaping of Port Harcourt contract and another N3billion paid to a Cuban contractor to fumigate Port Harcourt City against mosquito and these contracts were never done.
