Mrs. Mbanefo, who in an emotional-laden press release made available to the media yesterday said that “This is not our finest moment. Definitely, this is not! And we cannot continue like this. Bombing, abduction and killing cannot bear any desirable fruit of development. Nobody is enjoying this sheer waste of blood, horror films, psychologically wreaking stories and emotionally destabilizing reports being daily churned out about the Boko Haram activists and its impact on Nigerians and the global community. Enough is enough! Let us sheath our swords, embrace peace and put an end to this unnecessary bloodletting.”

The NTDC boss who called on Nigerians to support and pray for success of the efforts of the Federal Government and international groups at rescuing the Chibok girls who are still in the coven of the Boko Haram, pointed out that the Boko Haram insurgency and its crude strategies have continued to wreak inestimable havoc on the nation’s economy,  growth, image and international patronage.

“I am calling on all Nigerians to support the effort of President Goodluck Jonathan, the Federal government and all other international groups who are toiling day and night not only at seeing that the Chibok girls are released sound and safe but striving hard at putting an end to Boko  Haram insurgency. These people need our prayers and encouragement,“ Mbanefo said.

She appealed to the promoters of Boko Haram to put an end to this venture, which according to her, has not only showcased Nigeria as a country peopled by a bunch of tormentors and murderers but also as a heartless nation whose citizens regale in kidnapping and abducting hapless and harmless girl.”

Mrs. Mbanefo pointed out that the continued holding of over 200 Chibok girls as hostages by the Boko Haram should not be seen as a dent on the Federal Government but an assault on all, this demands all hands on deck to ensure that the girls are released sound and safe.

“As a mother, I feel tormented each time I realize that these girls are still in the coven of Boko Haram. My imagination about where they are send chill down my spine. Thus my appeal to all concerned is to do everything humanly possible for the safe release of these girls.”

Mrs. Mbanefo remarked that “Whoever or which groups are backing or financing Boko Haram should put an end to this devilish and satanic act which is blowing no body any good. Boko Haram bombs differentiate nobody from somebody. When it explodes, it is those who are unfortunate to be there that suffer. It knows no ethnic group, does not care about religion and give no hoot to the son of whom you are.”

She observed that  the continuous attack being suffered by Nigeria from the Boko Haram propagators is not only taking a huge toil on the tourism development of the states in the Northern part of Nigeria but “terribly corroding the modicum of tourism achievements and the gains of  the past on  the international tourism market.”
