The President of Niger Delta Publishers Forum Ovie Edomi, who is also President of The League of Maritime Editors said members of the group having looked at the various persons that have come out so far to express their desire to govern Delta state, noted that the Niger Delta Publishers Forum have decided to throw their weight and support behind Sir Tony Obuh, because he is an administrator and technocrat whose wealth of experience are unassailable, honest, people and media friendly as well as a detribalised Nigerian who has what it takes to move Delta state to another level of development.
Besides, he noted that if Obuh emerged as the next governor of the state, he would bring his vast experience in the civil service to bear; a development which he maintained would create room for the people of Delta to reap the full dividend of democracy.
Edomi who is equally the Editor-in-Chief of South South International Magazine, made the remark when he spoke with Reporters shortly after a meeting of the Niger Delta Publishers at Asaba, the Delta state capital.
Also, the leadership of National Association of Nigeria Student, NANS, Delta state chapter has endorsed the aspiration of Sir Tony Obuh noting that he is the only candidate they have resolved to vote for emass if he emerged as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, because he has always identified with the students even as a Permanent Secretary.
This was disclosed when NANS leaders from Delta State visited Obuh at his campaign headquarters in Asaba.
Meanwhile, Chief Barrister Fred Majemite, Director General, Obuh Campaign Organisation thanked the students leaders for the confidence they have in Sir Obuh and noted that as people with one mind they should join hands with other Deltans to see that their support translate to massive votes for Obuh come 2015
Commending the NANS leadership, Obuh said he was grateful to them for their indefatigable support.
