Mudi Speaks On Fashola

Nigeria’s leading fashion designer, Mudi (Mudiaga Enajemo) has bared his mind on leadership in the country and former Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos State, now Minister of Works.

He said; “The way a child is brought up reflects in the things he or she does. When a senior friend of mine sent me the pictures I shared with few friends and tasked each of them to tell a story about the pictures, unfortunately, none of them was able to get the message.”

“With due respect, most Nigerians are not discerning (deep thinkers).” Pictures don’t lie”

“The picture of Fashola as a kid wearing bow tie shows a lot and it tells how he was well brought up.”

“He had a thorough upbringing that has manifested in all he has done in public life especially as governor of Lagos state.”

“Most of our present leaders grew up poor and (deprived) and it shows in whatever they do. Most of them are not hands-on even when they accumulate wealth, they do it primitively.”

“Most of our leaders and rich men are so poor that all they have is money.”

“Poor upbringing has affected their mind in such a way that they still feel inferior in spite of the wealth.”

“Poverty of the mind will not make them realise that wealth is not about accumulated cash or properties but it’s about well-being.”
