Men Who Threatened To Kill Lagos Journalist Arrested

Three men who at the weekend threatened to kill a Lagos based journalist, Deacon Ovie Edomi, who is the President of League of Maritime Editors and Publicity secretary of Association of Mass Communication scholars and Professional association of Nigeria as well as the Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of South South international magazine have been arrested by the Area K, Police Command Lagos.

The trio had broken the journalist neighbour’s fence and burst hole into part of the journalist fence from his neighbour’s fence while the neighbour was away. The damage drew the attention of the journalist because water began to gush into the journalist’s mini estate/tenants flats and he went to see what was happening.

In the process of trying to block the opening where water was passing into the journalist’s mini estate, Mr I.K Okoro, Mr Afoni Kolawole and Mr Ireti Olagbomi attacked him and threatened to kill him. It took tenants of the journalist bravery along with a military personnel to save the situation, even then the trio threatened to kill him.
