Louis Odion Escapes Death

Former Edo State Commissioner for Information, Louis Odion has made some revelations.

He said; “Dear friends, I just finished reading the last of the hundreds of messages you sent me in the last five days through this our little community following report of my appointment as Senior Technical Assistant (Media) to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

“I am completely overwhelmed and humbled by the outpouring of love, goodwill and solidarity. Please, do understand that it is humanly impossible to reply all, much as I would have loved to. But I read all.”

“I cannot thank you enough for this. I perfectly appreciate the apprehension expressed by some of my friends whether my taking up government job at the federal level will not make me lose myself.”

“Such concern is legitimate. Let me reassure you that as I take up this offer, I shall not depart from our shared values of selflessness, integrity, courage and patriotism. Recall that I similarly took up an offer in 2011 in my home state (Edo) under Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and voluntarily resigned in the middle of his second term when I thought my task was done in 2015 after APC had not only retained Edo but also unhorsed PDP in Abuja.”

“Without sounding immodest, I believe my fidelity to the referenced values throughout the cumulative 48 months spent in Benin led to a state banquet being held in my honour by the state government on the eve of my exit. I was the only Commissioner so honored throughout the eight years of Oshiomhole administration.”

“Of course, I could not have navigated and survived the landmimes without your support, genuine counsel and solidarity. I believe your unceasing prayers delivered me from the assassins when they came for me in the early hours of April 29, 2012.”

“I know I can count on you for the same understanding as I take up this offer in the coming days in the service of our fatherland under the leadership of President Mohammadu Buhari, GCFR, and the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, GCON. God Bless you all. God Bless our dear nation, Nigeria.”
