Remember, few weeks ago we wrote about the crisis that was brewing as regards who gets APC ticket for Ikeja Federal Constituency ahead of the next general elections.

While former chairman of Ojodu Local Government, Honourable Abiodun Faleke, who presently occupies the seat is warming up to have another shot, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Ikeja Constituency 2, Honourable Lola Akande, had signified interest to go head long into the battle to contest for the ticket with Faleke. Owing to the fact that the teacher turned lawmaker, Akande is the elder sister of wife of APC leader, Asiwaju Tinubu, Senator Remi, many had thought it was going to be a fierce battle and the tempo was also on the high side. We informed that the ticket may have been conceded to Faleke for another term by leaders of the constituency. Effort to get Lola Akande to hear from her proved abortive as at the time of filing this story.

Meanwhile, information from reliable sources revealed Lola may have resigned to fate and forget about going to the National Assembly. We were further informed that the seat which she occupies at the State Assembly may have equally been ceded out. However, Lola, we gathered is most likely to be in the executive arm of government in the next dispensation, if what sources informed us of is anything to go by.
