Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka has taken former presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi to the cleaners.

This comes after Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, condemned President Bola Tinubu over the recent hike in international passport fees, arguing that the cost now exceeds the national minimum wage.

Responding to Obi’s statement, Olayinka took to his X handle (formerly Twitter) and wrote:

“Was there any time in Nigeria that the cost of International Passport was lower than Minimum Wage?

“Is International Passport part of the cost of living anywhere in the world?”
