Kemi Nelson has no doubt had a lacklustre political career since her exit as Commissioner for Women Affairs in Lagos State. Her silence was such that a lot of people wondered if she still had politics on her mind.
However, as the 2015 gubernatorial elections approach, Nelson boasted about her game changing plans aimed at ensuring she becomes a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Sources revealed to us that prior to the APC convention which held recently at the Eagles Square in Abuja, Nelson had been told that she wouldn’t be allowed to contest for senate, but a lucrative office would be fashioned out for her. Hence, on the day of the convention, Nelson was announced the woman leader for APC in the South West.
This new appointment has since seen her returning to relevance, as friends and well-wishers have started visiting her home to congratulate her.
