Ms. Jumoke Akinjide, daughter of eminent lawyer, Chief Richard Akinjide and former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory is in big trouble as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday January 16th, 2018 arraigned her for allegedly laundering N650million before the Federal High Court in Lagos.

The EFCC, in the 24 charges filed against her, alleged that she collected the sum of N650million from a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, in the build-up to the 2015 general elections.
Counsel for the EFCC, Rotimi Oyedepo, said she acted contrary to Section 18(a) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act, 2012, and were liable to punishment under Section 15(3) and 4 of the same Act.
