Veteran Nollywood actress, Rita Edochie has been hit with a N1 billion lawsuit by Judy Austin, wife of actor Yul Edochie over alleged defamation.

Judy Austin disclosed the lawsuit on her Instagram page, where she shared copies of the court documents with the caption, “Enough is enough.”

According to the suit, Judy Austin is seeking N1 billion in damages over the alleged defamatory statements.

She is also asking the court to compel Rita Edochie to issue a full and unreserved retraction and apology in at least two widely circulated national newspapers and across all her social media platforms.

In addition, Judy is seeking an injunction restraining Rita from making or circulating any further allegedly defamatory statements against her, as well as an order directing her to delete all such statements from her online platforms.
