Information reaching us has it that three former ministers; Jerry Gana, Tunde Adeniran and Godsday Orubebe have dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

We gathered that the ex-ministers are leading a sudden departure of top members of the party from the PDP after failed efforts to heal the wounds of the last national convention of the party.

Sources squealed that the ex-Information Minister, ex-Education Minister and ex-Niger Delta Minister have concluded plans to move to SDP which is merging with the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Peoples Salvation Party (PSP) to form a formidable alliance ahead of 2019 elections.

Sources also said the Olusegun Obasanjo-inspired Coalition for Nigeria Movement (CNM) is in talks with the SDP to work together.

It would be recalled that the former Minister of Education, Tunde Adeniran was defeated in a bitter chairmanship election by Gov. Nyesom Wike’s candidate, Uche Secondus.
Meanwhile, the likes of Gana, Adeniran and Orubebe, who happened to be founding members of the PDP, are still disconcerted with what happened during the party’s last national convention.

Insiders disclosed that the ex-Ministers and other aggrieved PDP chieftains had a meeting on Thursday March 1st, 2018 to negotiate with the leadership of SDP in Abuja for a merger.
