Former Rivers State Governor and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has stirred controversy by claiming that he was responsible for making Umar Damagum the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Wike said: “I am the reason Damagun is still in that position as the PDP Chairman. I did everything, I had his lawyers, and that’s what sustained Damagum to be there.”

“But who is Damagum’s enemy now? It is me. If there is one person Damagum wants to be killed, it is me,” he added.
