The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Joe Igbokwe has accused the Igbos of being behind the killings and kidnappings in the region.

Igbokwe made the allegation on his official Facebook page on Thursday, July 31st, 2025.

He wrote: “The blatant and pathological lies about the killings and destruction in the South East can no longer stand.”

“It is Igbo killing Igbo, it is Igbo destroying Igboland and putting the blame on Hausa/Fulani Herdsmen. This is not our culture. This is sad.”

This comes following the recent murder of Anambra businessman, Ifesinachi Onyekere a.k.a Fish Magnet.

Ifesinachi was found dead on Wednesday July 30th, 2025, days after he was kidnapped from his residence in Awka, Anambra State.
