Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources who was once the Group Managing Director of Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has been exposed.
Insiders at the NNPC squealed that while he was the GMD of NNPC he awarded pipelines security contracts worth millions of dollars to his friends and family members.
That is not all; they are also accusing him of paying millions of naira to militant groups such as; Niger Delta Avengers and others during massive attacks on petroleum pipelines in the Niger Delta.
Besides, Kachikwu has been accused of giving the security and surveillance of the nation’s pipelines to a close circle of friends and family such as; Capt. Idahosa Okunbo, Tunde Ayeni, Julius Rone, Greg Uanseru, Dumebi Kachikwu, Igho Sanomi, Ayiri Emami, Scott Tommey, Mohammed Abdul, Timbo Ayinde, and Benjamin Kuku.
The insiders are saying that the minister has no moral right to write a memo to President Muhammadu Buhari accusing the present Group Managing Director of NNPC, Dr. Maikanti Baru of awarding contracts worth 25billion dollars without due process. They said it is like a kettle calling the pot black.
