Former Military President Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida’s son, Mohammed has hit out at his father’s spokesman, Kassim Afegbua over a statement he released on behalf of his father advising President Muhammadu Buhari to forget re-election and give way to a new generation of leaders in 2019.

IBB’s son, Mohammed Babangida
Mohammed who spoke through a media aide berated Afegbua’s statement, affirming that the statement personally signed by his father has his true position on the state of the nation.
He said his father would not issue a statement without reading it thoroughly to ensure that it represents his opinion… “Afeghua was not authorized to issue that statement purportedly on behalf of Gen. Babangida. Afegbua was told to withdraw it but he declined and instead insisted it was authentic.”
Furthermore, IBB’s aide, Abdullahi who released the IBB-signed statement in Minna asserted that… “The second statement was authentic and took precedent over Afegbua’s having been personally signed by the former military leader.”
