I Don’t Need International Collaborations for Now – Phyno

Phyno

Fast rising rap artiste, Phyno, has declared that he doesn’t have any plan for now to join the train of Nigerian artistes having international collaborations.

The rapper, who has had an amazing year so far with numerous engagements, back to back concerts all around the country and the recent release of his latest album No Guts No Glory to critical acclaim, shared this fact recently during a chat at Hot FM Owerri, Imo State.

“It has been extremely hectic for me right now, and international collaborations don’t come just like that. I’m just taking it one step at a time,” Phyno said.

According to The Headies 2013 honouree, “There’s so much I’m involved in right now. When it’s time for that, I will,” he added.

Phyno said that while he is not thinking of any international collaboration anytime soon, an international tour is definitely in the works. But he is keeping the details to his chest.

Phyno has found a way to attract multiple non-Igbo speaking fans to consume, enjoy and recite his music even though many do not understand the language.

Also, this year has seen an increased presence of the rapper on the Star Music Trek circuit with his schedules to perform at over half the concert venues to be toured on the Trek in 2014.

He was among A-List singers who thrilled music fans in Orlu, Imo State penultimate weekend. Phyno is also expected to perform at three other Trek venues; Ekwulobia, Onitsha Fegge and at the Grand Finale in Lagos on 31 May.
